Veg Manchow Soup - an easy and tasty Indo-Chinese recipe made with finely chopped vegetables and Chinese sauces. It is a spicy and hot soup.
In restaurants, the manchow soup is served with fried noodles. Since this is a weight loss soup, so I am not adding fried noodles in the soup. For proteins, I have added mushrooms.
Vegetable Manchow Soup does not involve any complicated steps and procedures. If you have the finely chopped vegetables ready, it would take only minutes to make this soup. Moreover, you may add or experiment with different types of vegetables or as per your preference.
Recipe for Veg Manchow Soup:
1 tsp oil
4 g ginger (finely chopped)
3-4 clove garlic (finely chopped)
2 chili (finely chopped)
1 capsicum (finely chopped)
50 g cabbage (finely chopped)
3 mushrooms (finely chopped)
1 unit carrot (finely chopped)
20 g spring onion (finely chopped)
½ tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp vinegar
¾ tsp salt
2 glass water
1 tsp Jowar flour
How to make Veg Manchow Soup?
First chop all the veggies and keep them aside
Heat a wok or pan, add 1 teaspoon oil
Add the chopped ginger, garlic and fresh green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
Now add finely chopped veggies – chopped capsicum, cabbage, chopped mushrooms, chopped carrot and spring onion.
Stir fry for a minute without overcooking them
Now add ½ tsp pepper powder, 1 tsp soy sauce, and 1 tsp vinegar
Mix them well
Add ¾ tsp salt and mix well
Now pour 2 glass water
Boil until all the flavors are well absorbed
In a small bowl take 1 tsp Jowar flour and mix with ¼ cup water
Pour the Jowar flour paste to the soup and stir well
Stir very well and let the soup thicken
Stir and Serve Manchow soup hot topped with fried noodles or just plain garnished with coriander leaves/spring onion.
