Restaurant Style Egg Club Sandwich | Healthy Breakfast Recipe



Egg Club Sandwich is an easy, tasty & healthy sandwich recipe. The club sandwich is a type of sandwich that is popular. Here the sandwich fillings are stuffed in 3 to 4 layers. There are many ways a club sandwich can be made.


The fillings added in this club sandwich are slightly different. Smashed boiled egg is used as one of the stuffing. There is a layer of tomatoes, carrots, and onion. The third layer is grated veggies like cabbage and carrots mixed with coriander chutney are used. Since this is a weight loss recipe, so I have not used mayonnaise or a cheese spread.


The bread is usually toasted and then the sandwiches are made. If you do not wish to toast initially, then you can directly place the sandwiches in a sandwich maker and toast or grill them. Or you can make them without toasting the bread.


Calories:

1 Egg = 78 Calories

1 Slice Brown Bread = 75 - 80 calories

Egg Club Sandwich Total Calories = 450 calories approx.



Recipe for Egg Club Sandwich:


Ingredients:

  • 2 Boiled Eggs

  • Little black pepper powder

  • 2 teaspoon green chutney

  • 4 teaspoon tomato sauce

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/8 teaspoon chili flakes

  • 1/8 teaspoon oregano

  • Pinch of chaat masala

  • 3 slice brown bread

  • 6 to 8 slices each of tomatoes, onion, carrot, and capsicum.

  • Little cabbage slice


For making Chutney:

  • 1 tablespoon roasted chana dal

  • 1 cup coriander leaves

  • 2-3 green chilies

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tablespoon water for grinding (optional)


How to make Egg Club Sandwich for Weight Loss?

  1. Take 2 boiled eggs, smashed it

  2. Sprinkle some little black pepper powder

  3. Add 2 teaspoon green chutney and salt to taste

  4. Then add little chili flakes & oregano

  5. Mix them well

  6. Toast 3 bread slices from both side

  7. Then spread some green chutney on all the 3 slices

  8. Spread some tomato sauce on all the slices

  9. First layer - Add the smashed boiled eggs stuff over a bread slice

  10. Spread it evenly

  11. Place a toasted slice on top. On this bread slice, spread green chutney & tomato sauce

  12. Place 3 to 4 slices each of tomatoes, onion, carrot, and capsicum

  13. Some cabbage slice

  14. Sprinkle some black pepper powder, chaat masala, and salt.

  15. Spread some green chutney & tomato sauce

  16. Cover with a third bread slice

  17. With a sharp knife slice the sandwiches into four rectangles or two or four triangle pieces.

  18. Tasty & Healthy Egg Club Sandwich is ready to serve


How to make Green Chutney?

  1. Take 1 tablespoon roasted chana dal in a grinder

  2. Add 1 cup coriander leaves, 2-3 green chilies, and salt to taste

  3. Add little water and grind till smooth

  4. Remove chutney in a bowl and keep aside
